Do you know that there are some bloggers in the world whose earnings sometime exceeds the earning capability of a large firm where thousands of people work.These are the people who have created a new breed of business.
A business where no investement is required except a laptop and an Internet connection (sometime nominal hosting charges).
A business which anyone can start off but some can really make it BIG.
A business which is location Independent .
A business where 99% of the people start it a hobby and after sometime they see that this hobby had surpassed their lifetime income.

Those bloggers are amazing. I mean their income is so amazing. But I wonder how much are their cost and expenses in running such huge sites. I also want to know what are the hard experiences they have passed during their early blogging days.

@ret, the cost and expenses are largely of hosting expenditures, as these blogs do not feel a need for advertising their blogs (Search engines and social media have already taken that responsiblity).
I guess for running a website like techcrunch, a dedicated hosting server from hosting service provider like rackspace is required and it will not be more than $1000 in any case.
