Thank you for your coverage on indian classifieds space. The market size is probably over Rs. 1,000cr of this space.
We, at clickindia, run on ad supported model & don’t charge our users for any activity on the site. This translates into little more ad space on the site, however, since the users do not have to pay at all, we are able to let them focus on advertising their products/services without worrying about the costs. This is unlike few other players which have opted for a different revenue model.

I appreciate your feedback on the site & would be happy to discuss with you possible changes we can do on the site to enhance the look.

Also, the link to clickindia site is not going correct. Would appreciate if you can correct it.

    Thanks again for your writeup.

Thanks Pankaj for killing your precious time to comment on my blog. No hard feelings but if you would have given more importance to a particular ads page, and let user find his posted ad look more beautiful, it could have been much better. Look how Olx have designed their single ads page, its just looks amazing.
But i admire the way you grew at the top slot in just two years, and i think being popular even if you are ugly is a compliment. Hats off to your portal.

Thanks! Nice read. Summarises a lot of info concisely. I however feel that these classifieds don’t really provide location based information, which may be of vlaue to the end user Consider this use case:

A guy in Goregaon, Mumbai wants to buy a used laptop for sometime. He searches for it on an online classifieds site, and searches for a seller. He finds out that the people who have put up their laptops for sales have just mentioned Mumbai and he figures out that he has to travel far and wide to buy it.

If there’s a site which can sort sellers by distance, and also gives him directions to locate them via a mobile app, the chances of transaction will increase manifold.
